The road begins here, and it begins quietly. Dune Allen is lake country: Oyster Lake and Stallworth Lake sit right against the road, part of the string of rare coastal dune lakes that makes this stretch of Florida genuinely unusual. Mornings here belong to herons and paddleboards, not scooter rentals.
There is no town center to speak of, and that is the appeal. You are ten minutes by car from the shops at Gulf Place, and a full world away from the east end bustle. Homes skew older Florida with a growing crop of new builds, and the beach is broad and rarely busy by 30A standards.
